Picture
The school aims to provide a forum for debate, reflection and the development of ideas for the advancement of women’s equality.  Possible topics to be discussed at the Countess Markievicz School include:

  • Family, childcare and gender roles
  • Rights, legalities and protection
  • Social exclusion, disability and poverty
  • Power, politics and decision- making
  • Ethnicity, racism and discrimination
  • Work, income amd opportunity
  • Violence against women
  • Media representation and participation

We seek to achieve our aims by inviting speakers who have knowledge and experience of the topics under discussion.  Audience interaction, participation and feedback will shape the agenda for the following year.
